2-Day tour Mai Chau to discover the beauty and exotic cultures of Vietnam’s hill tribes of Mai Chau – a small town nestled in the midst of a lush valley and surrounded by emerald-green rice fields, located about 130km west of Hanoi. Step off the beaten path and experience Mai Chau’s relaxed hill tribe life and breathtaking scenery, cycling, trekking through the rolling countryside, immersing yourself in the wonders of Mai Chau valley.

ITINERARY:

DAY 1: HANOI – MAI CHAU

07:00 – 07:30 Pick-up from your hotel in Hanoi and departure to Mai Chau.

09:30 – 10:00 Arrive at Thung Khe Pass, the beautiful scenery Pass (One of the 10 most beautiful passes in Vietnam).

12:00 Arrive at Mai Chau Valley, which is surrounded by spectacular limestone mountains and rice paddies.

Enjoy a special lunch with the local cuisine featuring the yin-yang balance of the Asian culture. Check in your homestay/bungalow and rest.

Afternoon, ride a bike to the remote villages, discovering the natural beauty of the valley and the culture of the ethnic minority Thai people on our visits to the Pom Coong and Na Phon villages.

Return to your stay for a relax or help preparing the evening meal to learn about the local cuisine and culture. Stay overnight in Mai Chau.

DAY 2: MAI CHAU – HANOI

Start the day with a simple breakfast with your host family then take a short bike ride through the surrounding countryside. Immerse yourself in the vibrant local culture and scenery.

Visit Mo Luong Cave, “Hang Bộ Đội” which is a natural cave inside Pu Kha Mountain. Through the process of water erosion, blocks of limestone were eroded and formed beautiful stalactites.

Check out and have lunch at restaurant. Then free time for shopping or relaxing.

15.30 Leave Mai Chau and drive straight back to Hanoi. End the trip.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

Booking cancellation must be notified by Email and confirmed by VietNam Stunning Travel. Applicable fees will be calculated depends on confirmation time as follows:

  • 7 days before departure: No charge.
  • From 2 to 6 days before departure: Charge 50% of tour price.
  • Days before departure: Charge 100% of tour price.
  • All majeure cases due to natural disasters, politics, society… that the tour program cannot be taken place. VietNamStunningTravel will refund 100% of the cost paid by tourists for the tour.
